Privacy Policy
BraidNest
Last updated: October 14, 2026
BraidNest ("BraidNest," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit braidnest.com, contact us, inquire about our services, or apply for a BraidNest Venture Partnership.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide. We may collect your name, email address, phone number if provided, professional profile, company name, location, and details you send through our contact forms, email, or meeting requests.
Venture Partnership applications. If you apply, we may collect information about your background, startup, product, customers, market, stage, traction, fundraising history, challenges, planned milestones, support needs, and partnership preferences. We may also receive links to your pitch deck, website, or product demo. Application materials may include commercially sensitive business information.
Website and technical information. When you use our website, technical information may be generated automatically, including IP address, browser and device details, referring pages, approximate location, page activity, and security or diagnostic logs. Cookies and similar technologies may be used as described in our Cookie Policy.
Information from other sources. When relevant to a potential business relationship, we may review public company websites, professional profiles, and information you or a referral contact lawfully provide.
2. How We Use Information
We use this information to:
- Respond to inquiries and arrange meetings.
- Evaluate and manage Venture Partnership applications and communicate decisions or next steps.
- Assess potential projects and provide requested services under separate agreements.
- Operate, maintain, protect, and improve the website and application experience.
- Maintain appropriate business records, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Submitting a Venture Partnership application does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails. Any optional marketing subscription is handled separately, with an unsubscribe option.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on steps requested before entering a contract, our legitimate business interests, legal obligations, or consent where required.
3. How We Share Information
We may disclose relevant information to authorized BraidNest team members and contractors; trusted vendors that support hosting, forms, storage, email, scheduling, security, or analytics where enabled; legal and professional advisers; and authorities when disclosure is legally required. We may also share information in connection with a legitimate business reorganization or transaction, subject to applicable law.
We do not publish your Venture Partnership application. We will not share detailed founder materials with outside investors or independent venture partners for their own investment review without first obtaining your permission.
4. Founder Submissions and Confidentiality
You retain ownership of the ideas, materials, and intellectual property you submit. Providing an application does not transfer ownership to BraidNest and does not, by itself, create a partnership, investment obligation, exclusivity arrangement, or nondisclosure agreement.
We use application materials to evaluate and communicate about a potential relationship, and we limit access to people who need the information for that purpose. Please do not include passwords, source code, trade secrets, confidential customer lists, or similarly sensitive material in the initial public application. If further due diligence requires such materials, appropriate arrangements can be discussed separately.
5. Cookies and Online Tracking
Our website may use cookies and similar tools for essential functionality, security, preferences, and—where enabled—analytics or other optional purposes. You can read more in our Cookie Policy and use available cookie preferences or browser controls.
Some browsers transmit a legacy “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is no uniform interpretation of that setting, our website may not respond to it. Where applicable law requires recognition of qualifying opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, we will honor those signals for the activities covered by that law.
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including business correspondence, prospective relationships, and applicable legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations.
For declined or inactive Venture Partnership applications, our intended retention period is up to 12 months after the last substantive interaction, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for an active discussion, legal requirement, or dispute. Records relating to an established partnership may be retained for the duration of that relationship and any required follow-up period.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. Access to application materials is intended to be limited to authorized personnel and providers with a legitimate need to process them. No website or electronic transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to ask how your information is used. Depending on your location and which privacy laws apply, you may also have rights to obtain a copy of information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, or appeal a decision about a privacy request.
We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where permitted or required by law. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. You may unsubscribe from optional promotional emails using the link in the message.
If applicable state privacy law grants rights concerning the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising, we will provide the required options and honor valid requests and opt-out signals.
9. International Visitors
BraidNest operates in the United States. Your information may be processed in the United States or in other places where authorized providers operate. When applicable law requires protections for cross-border transfers, we will apply appropriate safeguards.
10. Children's Privacy
Our website and Venture Partnership application are directed to adults and business users. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children through the application. Contact us if you believe a child has provided such information.
11. Third-Party Services
Our website may link to external scheduling tools, professional networks, portfolio companies, or other websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, not this policy.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices or legal requirements change. The updated version will appear on this page with a revised date. We will provide additional notice when required by law.
